San Diego Comic Con 2020 Has Been Cancelled.

"For the first time in its 50 year history, the show will not go on. Comic-Con International announced that there will be no San Diego Comic-Con in 2020 — and the next planned event will be July 22-25, 2021."
Reported Kerry Dixon for sdccblog.com, in what has been a slew of postponement and cancellation of events that keeps our collective geek-lives going.

With the exception of ToyConUK - whom went forth with their March 14-15-date, other events worldwide including Five Points Festival (USA), ToySoul (Hong Kong), Shanghai Toy Show (China) and even locally Illustration Arts Fest (Singapore) ... while Thailand Toy Expo has announced that TTE will now be an online platform. Tokidoki has since embraced the situation and launched their first ever online Tokidoki-Con, and perhaps as we move forward, more of such events will quite literally enter the virtual realm of possibilities.

As of this post, @super7 and @dketoys has already announced on their socials their intention to move forward with plans, in however form/format they will be taking.

Since embarking on toy-bloggery back in 2005, the annual San Diego Comic Con had been a huge part of my "NEED TO ATTEND" in my lifetime wants, for many many years since, although noticeably after my Stroke in 2010, that dream seemed further and further away... regardless, those short years in front of my desktop computer screen, staring at happenings on the convention floor, really kept my juices flowing!

I once had a dream of starting a virtual "online convention" (Understandably saying this now, is kinda B.S. for naysayers of TOYSREVIL, I know), but realised then it would have been too much of a "gimmick", as ironic as folks live(d) and traded in a online world of pop culture, so too a physical event/convention/fair would/could provide a grounded physicality to our collective geekdoms ... but with the given current worldwide epidemic which is still unfolding daily, the "(virtual) reality" of an online existence, has become a glaringly obvious evolution. All that hustle and hardwork still have to go on, doesn't it? RBING IT, people! But remember to Stay Safe and Healthy while doing it! :)
