TOYSREVIL @ "OLP in SG"
Managed to have (half a day) available today, so I zipped right down to BLAXK at Funan Mall, to take a look, grab some video and snaps of "OLP in SG", before the exhibition ends this Sunday...! Better late than never, yeh? Bearing in mind time has lapsed and no doubt items have found their new homes - so here is what I saw...
Snaps of BLAXK's facade, which always bore what the contents held within are ... next week(ish) we will see YoYo Yeung's "Mysterious Golden Cat Restaurant" show gracing said facade (Stay updated via IG @theblaxkspace)!
Essentially BLAXK is split into three main zones: 2 x Display/Gallery walls, and the internal sales shelving, which mostly serves to host the commercial items of whatever exhibits are, as well surrounded by their "regular" sales items.
First area always features the show introduction (panelled), as well focuses on the "star(s)" of the show(s), and in this instance we see the ASTRO BOY feat. POH, GIZARD WARRIOR POH and JIANGSHI POH, before the themed photo booth at the end of said gallery wall.

I’ve never been what you call a “huge fan” of "Astro Boy" (even tho I blog about him loads :p), but I found myself toy-lusting THIS "ASTRO BOY feat. Poh" version when I posted about it on the blog, and could not stop thinking about him hahaha alas I missed the creator’s signing and that notion kinda “dissuaded” me from snagging the figure … and also I could not afford it lah, who am I kidding hahahaha

ABOVE: GIZARD WARRIOR POH from @pohpoh.studio X @booker.studio showcased pretty delish details and looking all-so-warriorsome too! Nice job, this!
BELOW: Honestly this is one of the most adorable Jiangshi I’ve ever seen, IMHO - a bear-bear onesie with a talisman in place (I suspect in case the character charms everyone else lol)! Loving the “single step forward” stance of the figure too!

On the other parallel side of the gallery wall, is another display wall which showcases collectibles and artwork, and for this particular art show, we have ABAO's SNAIL GIRL MEDUSASA (which I am so glad I managed rot see IN-PERSON / Not For Sale tho) and felt creations from Booker Studio, which somehow reminded me of "stop-motion animation" protagonists (and by that I fondly remembered my SCOTTIE DOG from Laika's CORALINE, thanks):

ABOVE: I am SO GLAD I am able to see SNAILGIRL MEDUSASA from @abaoabaoabao in person (would love to keep it tho muahahahahAHAHAHAHAHA). Even monsters were babies too :)
Last but not least, is the internal sales shelves zone, which admittedly had me pause much longer than I'd expected to, man-handling the bagged-with-tagged collectibles (wished I had the spending money dammit), which honestly makes the difference when. Held in-hand versus seeing them on a web-browser, at least for me personally, cheers.
