KAWS ROBOT COMPANIONS for "KAWS:HOLIDAY HANGZHOU"
Just when KAWS UNIVERSE had left a bewildering taste in my toy-loving experience, out pops this nugget of splendid reveal: KAWS ROBOT COMPANIONS?!
For the impending "KAWS:HOLIDAY HANGZHOU", a 30-metre-long robot COMPANION sculpture is coming to West Lake. Scheduled for September 24th launch thru Sept 27, event admission is FREE.
"After a first test inflation at a secret location, we’re gearing up for KAWS:HOLIDAY HANGZHOU, stopping within the “Orioles Singing in the Willows” section of the Ten Scenes of West Lake.
Set within this historic Jiangnan scenery, the new COMPANION sculpture rests quietly upon the grass, gazing upward toward the moon and sky to admire West Lake’s Mid-Autumn moonlight."
To celebrate the new Hangzhou stop, KAWS and AllRightsReserved will be offering folks a limited collection led by the robot COMPANION in two editions: gloss-finish yellow and matte black. Standing 10-inches tall and priced at HKD2,500 per, each VINYL figure comes with a Certified NFC chip of authenticity

The collection also includes selected apparel and lifestyle items inspired by this new stop, including hoodies, T-shirts, mugs, a special tea set with tray, and a bronze incense holder.
Online launch via ddtstore.com is scheduled for 23 SEP 10PM EDT / 24 SEP 10AM HKT, as well in-store at the WESTLAKE 66 pop-up store.
