The World Of Toys on TOYSREVIL (Feb/4/2011)
KRonikle reveals/previews the 8-inch DIEVAS DUNNY from Scarygirl creator Nathan Jurevicius (is first ever) channeling his iconic Owl-imagery (with his work on Harley+Boss with Andrea), and is that black-flock I see? Sweet! Look for it to debut at stores from Feb 17 - limited to 1500 units worldwide at US$75 per.
PRODUCT-TEXT: Kidrobot teams up with prolific animator Seth MacFarlane to bring you TV’s all-American but totally twisted and dysfunctional family known as the Griffins and their favorite New England neighbors. Here to make us laugh and cry, each of the 15 blind-boxed Family Guy mini figures comes with an insert card and accessory – and begs the question, “Which FGKR will you get?” Ready to release at Kidrobot stores, Kidrobot.com and select retailers beginning February 17, these 3-inch FGKRs retail for $9.95 (£9.00 UK; 10€ Europe). Giggity! [via KRonikle]
This was supposed to be in a Wonder Festival (Winter) 2011-post, but just in case I miss it (it has been known to happen on occasion), heck out the new Star Wars Darth Vader "Dagobah Version" 100% KUBRICK from Medicom Toy! Remember the scene where Luke Skywalker goes into a cave while training under Yoda in Dagobah? And beheads an illusionary Darth? And the helmet is torn open to reveal a Luke underneath the helmet? No there you go :)
Limited to 1,000 pcs at a price of 1,575YEN, the figure will be released from February 6th.
Amanda Visell comes back down to Earth after her Croc-X "exclusivity" (nope, my email enquiry remains unreplied) with a "slightly" more appealing price point of US$350 per for her series of 10 x BATZ MARU customs. Initially produced by Kidrobot, the vinyl figure-customs come blind selection with 9 have hello kitty masks, with the 10th featuring an eye-patch. Hey, I'm down with an eye-patch myself, isn't it?
