The World of Toys on TOYSREVIL (Jan/19/2011)

"Reticle, Reason and Reflux are all Laboratory assistant bots, each with their particular
specialities, but all carrying sample canisters around the labs on their little hunchbacks."

After the successful sold-out Edition A, UK-creator Cris Rose offers up his latest Sprogs Edition B! (FYI#1: This edition was supposed to come out in November before Edition C, but got delayed due to work produced for the Metallic Machinations show at Toy Art Gallery.) Sprogs Edition B consists of the previously revealed Reticle, Reason and Roche, and now the final three are unveiled as Reflux, Rockford and Rue. (Last sneaked here on TOYSREVIL)

Available as 15 x blind boxes at US$35 (+postage) - Sprogs Edition B (Ice Blues) are 2.5" hand made resin robots, released January 19th @ 18:00 London time @ crisrose.bigcartel.com. (FYI#2: Newsletter subscribers get an advance 24 hour window in which to purchase before they go live on the store.)

There will also be a selection of 3 Sprog sets at US$95 (+postage) in the form of the Lab Pack (Reticle/Reason/Reflux) and the Wall Pack (Roche/Rockford/Rue). 'Blind boxes are already painted and will ship as soon as the ratio cards arrive (next week), the packs will be painted to order and will not number greater than 5 of each.'

"Roche, Rockford and Rue are all emergency and crowd control robots designed for use inside buildings and facilities where Ramparts would be unable to maneuver. Hovering out of their little alcoves when needed, they form protective walls by stacking on top of each other. Each model has their own personality that determines how they react to situations."

visell-crox-x

Making it's round on the toy-www is this little mystery figure known only as "Croc X" from Amanda Visell - 25 pcs of which is only available with a whopping price-point of US$999.00 per - currently orderable on Switcheroo. Whatever personal commentary is currently kept brimming in the floodgates, while awaiting a email reply. You decide for yourselves folks, whether a mystery "unknown" figure of undetermined sized and material is worth the price asked for. (Brigitte has Strong words about it tho).

BIG-ARO-01
BIG-ARO-02

K.Olin previously presented the world with high-end Limoges porcelain Potamus and Aro. And now they have "upsized" to a new 60cm (23.6 inch) tall BIG ARO - featuring a form created by Steph Cop of France. Priced at 6500 € per - there are currently 12 pieces available, consisting on 6 x Black and 6 x White. Order via www.artandtoys.com. Talk about lush! Unfortunately the form seems for very select appreciators, specifically of Aro-collectors, maybe?
