With the release of pre-ordering info for the Verdegris Edition HUMPHREY MOONCALF in this previous post, tis my honor to share the upcoming two other colorway editions to come from Pobber: The above mono-chromatic NOCTURNAL Edition (150 pcs) and dandy-colored DAPPER Edition (250 pcs) shown below. Both figures currently do not have a drop-date revealed, but will be made available in toy stores everywhere. (Interested retailers to email info@pobber.com for wholesale information).
I had asked Bruce aka Doktor A, what he thought of the release (and of course seek permission to reveal the two colorways), and this was his exclusive reply to TOYSREVIL: "I am very happy with the way he has turned out. Pobber have done a tip top job and it's been a pleasure working with them. This is am important toy for me as its the first pure blood (pure oil?) Mechtorian figure since the mini series. All the others since then have been Platform toys in one way or another. I am very proud of him."
"High Snobiety x Made by Monsters x Ron English" Gold Edition Grin will start taking international online orders from January 12th, 2011 (first seen at NYCC 2010). Priced at US$98 per and limited to 100 pcs - do email info@garageworksindustries.com for order details. Perhaps the fourth colorway to be released thus far - do check out product snaps of the first version on my blog. The gold accent is ornately-nifty tho. Below is an excerpt from an interview with Chris Kong of Made by Monsters on HighSnobiety:
QUESTION: Tell us about the Highsnobiety Grin figure. Are happy with how it turned out?
CHRIS KONG: Yea, I think it turn out nice especially having the gold decals which enchants the original Grin concept. Interesting to see minor color adjustment can make the Grin look completely different. When David, Ron & I thought of the same color arrangement, then we know "this is it". The HighSnobiety gold edition grin international release will start today. For those of you who missed out from the previous version can get one through our online store. Limited to 100pcs."
Argonauts Resin prepares for a New Years-drop for a series of special TUTTZ from LCKM@ aka Leukemia Can Kiss My @ss organization (awesome name, I haveta say!). Some proceeds will go to help fight cancer.
Designer and Sculptor Eric Nocella Diaz mentions: "There will be 15 New Years Tuttz (just like the Xmas Tuttz) and they will be released in 3 waves and #1 of the 15 will be the light blue metallic clear tint chase shown (above). It will be available in the online store soon with the other 5 New Years Tuttz of wave 1. Full reveals and drop date coming up!"
"CHINANCIER 1, Man of Fortune" stands 4.8 inches tall and measures 5.5 inches wide. Shown above is the back of the figure, while the front of concept is yet unrevealed. Produced by Laconic Design (operating out of Alberta, Canada), the resin figure will be limited to 500 pcs, with a eventual base white finish DIY or a stand alone. Price in undetermined at this time, and neither can I comment on the figure as I am only seeing the back lol.
UK-creator Cris Rose sneaks in a peek at freshly-popped brand new figure for 2011 (above), and from the SPROG Edition B tags, they are revealed to named "Reticle", "Reason" and "Reflux"! Yes, I am jumping the gun here, but I'm hella excited for Cris, innit? More to come, I promise!
Korean sculptor YJ Park does BRUCE LEE in "Game of Death" for ENTERBAY featuring duo headsculpts of a moody-broody and a smiley face that will put Jack Nicolson to shame, IMHO. Am unsure if this is a 1/6-figure with an all-new hidden articulation? Or simply a full-body 1/4-bust? More images on ENTERBAY's Facebook. And yes, it seems this is still a work-in-progress :)
Hot on the heels of their 10th Anniversary showing at Tokyo - Hot Toys now showcases product snaps of their Biohazard5 / RE5 Jill Valentine (Battle Suit Version) 1/6-scaled collectible figure, and boy, does she have loads of guns! (By the lackluster description, it doesn't take a genius to recognize I do not partaketh of the video game ;p). Together+ twitter-sneaked an upcoming pre-toy show series that is a delightful blast-from-the-past. Anybody remember "Who Killed Kennnnnnyyyyy!"? … yeh, I though so … go google "South Park" for you're own sanity's sake, folks ;p
