A Guide to NYCC-Exclusive Art Toys for New York Comic Con 2011
- Dave Cortes at Artist Alley will be presenting NIKO and VENUS. Limited to 12pcs, Niko is the next character in the Pugzee story, and is Pugzee's right paw dog, while VENUS is a sexy Alien chick for Dave Cortes' original story Simple Man. This 11" tall figure will be limited to 10 pieces as a New York Comic Con exclusive
- Gus Fink @ Artist Alley will premiere the Golden Scantron Robot Plush
- Super7 @ Booth 688 will present the yellow edition TAOKING vinyl figure - adapted from Frank Miller & Geof Darrow’s THE BIG GUY & RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT comic series [blogged]. Standing 9 inches tall and priced at US$95 - we first saw the debut of this Cosmo Liquid-sculptrd kaiju monster at SDCC.
- One of the debuts at Tenacious Toys & Toy2R Booth 876 is a Blue Molezilla vinyl figurine by Plaseebo - of which 5 x Exclusives are for Tenacious Toys. Standing 7" tall, they are priced as US$100 each. We have another dedicated blog-post just for TT - so look out for that :)
- Toy Tokyo @ Booth 976 will debut a TUPAC Vinyl figure - produced by FUNKO exclusively for Toy Tokyo.
- Chris Hamer @ Artist Alley will be premiering a hand-casted 'custom vinyl toy' named BYRON - with each one signed and numbered. Urbnpop is Chris' art studio and "Byron" is its mascot. BYRON is currently on Kickstarter as well.
ESC-Toy at Booth 781 will be presenting a slew of products, including:
- A new Crow Crow Bear NYCC-exclusive limited to 30pcs.
- Little Axe Ginger Green
- Papa Sama Jelly Swordsman - a 6" semi-clear resin figure limited to 50pcs worldwide.
- Pinnola - Erick Scarecrow's new 6" hand painted resin figure.
- Turtum Micci - a new mini resin figure series by Erick Scarecrow. Each 3" handpainted resin figure will come in an assortment from OG, RARE and OMG ULTRA RARE.
- Shawnimals @ Booth 581 will present a series of toys, including a new unnamed Ninjatown handmade plush,two Halloween-inspired hand-painted variants of Pocket Pork mini vinyl toy (one available at Shawnimals, the other at myplasticheart). As well there will be a "new" Ye Olde Moustachio plush premiering at NYCC.
