Day One for Munny World Festival Indonesia 2011
Munny World Festival Indonesia launched last night with a Press Conference, and the opening of the Plastic Culutre storefront in Grand Indonesia, Jakarta displaying the customs submitted for the annual contest, as well as a showcase of invited artists with their custom Munnys. And from these images shown here, it looks to be a wild show with impressive builds, from this part of the world! They deserve to be featured in as many online venues as possible, something which did not seem to get much traction even when I was at MWFI in 2010 - I wonder why is that?

UPDATED WITH REPORT OF EVENTS: "Munny World Festival Indonesia 2011 kicked off Friday December 9th at 07:00PM with press conference that was filled with pers from different kinds of media. Here, we introduced the artists that were invited to join Munny World Festival Indonesia 2011. There are 20 artists that joined Custom Munny Exhibition and Indonesian Designer Toy Exhibition.
First day of MWFI 2011, Plastic Culture area is dedicated solely for Competition Showcase, where we see customs Munny V4s from contestants and by the end of MWFI 2011, one will be crowned as MWFI 2011 Grand Champion and will carry the torch from Silvia Tampi (Munny Contest 2009 winner) and Chalid Affan (MWFI 2010 Grand Champion).
Just outside of Plastic Culture (or as we call it, the Front Area), Live Drawing happened. It became the center-higlight on the first day. Hendra "hehe", cikcuk, The Yellow Dino, Bismark Toy Lab, Thunderpanda, Godoftoy, Koma (Indo) and the Popoh put their "mark" on this huge white canvas. -- it's great to see artist from various background came in one place and share the passion for creativity in Munny World Festival Indonesia 2011.
