PRESS: "Drop your stylus, pause your Xboxes and put those unread comics on hold; the long awaited pop-culture gathering of toys, comics, animation, gaming, design, licensing and cosplay is back! Organized for the second year running by local event planner PI Events with the support of the Singapore Tourism Board, the Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention 2009 will offer an experience like no other, redefining Art as we know it."

The Singapore Toy, Games & Comics Convention [www / facebook] is set to hit Singapore this coming August - the second since the inaugural launch in Singapore 2008! Besides the name change from "Singapore Toy & Comic Convention" in 2008 [Full-coverage on TRE] to encompass the "Game" aspect of 2009's event - the previous 2 Day event has now been increased to 3 1/2 Days (13th to 16th of August)!

TOYSREVIL is proud to be involved in STGCC 2009 [tagged] - this time in the capacity of "Official Blog" (*beams*). But before the "Official" Press Conference scheduled for end-April launches (where I'll repost everything all over again LOL ;p) - and I can "officially" let spill all the goodies destined for STGCC-2009 - this here's an introductory blog-post; based on information currently seen on the event website @ www.singaporetgcc.com :)

STGCC-GUESTS

No stranger to the vinyl-scene; creator / artist Joe Ledbetter with be one of the guests present for WALK OF FAME, along with comicbook legend Brian Bolland! (*faints*). Other Walk-Of-Famers will be announced shortly (once I get the go-ahead nyuknyuk). All-new Uglydolls Action Figures and Plushes will also be making an appearance, as would returning-creator Simone Legno of Tokidoki (remember the insanity of STCC 2008?).

Besides Convention Halls 401-402, in which STGCC 2009 will be held (a multi-functional and flexible hall of approximately 6,110 square metres of exhibition space) - there will also be a series of CONFERENCE SESSIONS (*Paid sessions with "Industry Professionals") with one of the guest speakers being Kidrobot's Toy Baroness! (who is currently celebrating her 30th with a charity drive - but that's another post altogether :p).

Another event to look out for is the ARTIST INVASION "Live" art demo @ The Butter Factory (who've sinced moved to their new location @ One Fullerton). Last year, Simone Legno, TOUMA, Devilrobots, Mori Chack and Pete Fowler took to the panels - Stay tuned to find out who will make an appearance in 2009!
