tokidoki @ the singapore toy & comic convention 2008 (part one)
One word for TOKIDOKI / Simone Legno's presence @ the inaugural Singapore Toy & Comic Convention was "pandemonium" = but in a good way :)
The TOKIDOKI Booth was filled to the brim with fans and folks jostling and grabbing his apparels, stationary sets and assorted fashion goodies - which most folks mentioned were cheaper than anywhere else (hence the Singaporean mob - we're always out for a good bargain LOL). It was like an epitome of the Great Singapore Sale at one single spot LOL - and thru all the madness and multiple camera-phones clicking, the rockstar that he was (and stressed-out if he may have been), Simone remained smiling throughout, which I reckon leaves a good memory for the fans who'd gotten a chance to see, meet and greet the man in our very own little red dot island hometown. On the Toys-front, there was the launch of the PLUS ROBOTS series collaboration with Devilrobots, and the reveal of the Chase figure for PLAY TOFU Minis (both from Play Imaginative) - which Simone gamely autographed, no doubt to the fans' joy.
Unfortunately for me, I did not gather the opportunity to take a picture with the man (*sob*) or even shake his hand or say *HI*, nor get anything signed by him (*double-sob*). Tokidokizens.com has a pretty sweet series of features of Simone @ STCC'08 (*waves to Jackie*) - including a "Live Art Demo" (which I missed :p) and snaps from the "Live Mural Art" @ Butter Factory from Preview Night (which I have too much video of to process LOL).
(*P/S: do forgive the huge-ass watermark on the images - seems most Tokidoki-pics online have them! Just wanted to play along and belong :p)
