Ultraman Seven Capsule Toys by TOUMA x Bandai
ULTRAMAN 7 x TOUMA sees two series' worth of iconic Ultraman (Ultra Seven) characters interpreted by Japanese designer TOUMA, and produced by Bandai into the form of capsule / gashapon toys = featuring 5 sets of 4 designs per set (Series 1 x 2 sets / Series 2 x 3 sets) = hella loads to collect, IMHO! Best bet is to check with your fav toy-retailer for availability (FYI: these are circa 2008-09) or trawl the Yahoo!Japan auction-sites ... Each capsule figure was priced between 200 to 500 YEN (Capsule toys are equivalent to "blind-boxed" toys) ... Now imagine if these were larger toys at 5 to 6 inches instead = *Ultra-Sweet*
Am personally lurving the "super-deformed"-style, with a heap-tinge of TOUMA-izm infused design sensibilities ... CLICK THRU for mondo-more images of the series :)
