Toys for Taipei Toy Festival 2009

CLICK THRU for a peep at select images of "cutesy" toys from CHI-BO by Chi-Kit Kwong, ANDOX merchandise from IND, Jimmy S.P.A., HUSKY, STAY REAL and PANSONWORKS - all seen at last weekend's Taipei Toy Festival [tagged-on-TRE].

For sure there are numerous more types, styles and brands of toys seen at the event - but perhaps there will come a time when I have the opportunity to feature them all, along with decent and tangible information :)

Hong Kong designer/artist Chi-Kit Kwong's CHI-BO was first featured on TRE in 2008, with the trio of characters seen at TTF this year introduced here - namely: Your Royal Highness (5.5 inch tall), Space Funky ( 5 inch tall), and (the former "Secret Character" in a blind-box series); Miracle shroom. These three characters released are out of a total 60-character series of figures to come - last seen on display in TTF 2008 actually :)

The first time I knew of the character ANDOX was back in TTF 2007 - where I'd then re-discovered that ANDOX was created by singer/actor Andy Lau ("ANDOX" was made up of his name: "Andy" and his chinese zodiac of the "Ox" - no doubt he works just as hard, IMO). Initially, Andy had carried along with him a sewn-plush of Andox everywhere he went - to concerts, to shoots etc and snapped pics of the plush with other actors and singers etc ...

Andox was initially released as a Trexi and a (sold out) series of vinyl figures ... this year at TTF, an entire booth was dedicated to a variety of Andox-products - under the “IND” label (made up of designers Danny Chan and Ultraman) - which saw Plush, keychain attachments, USD flashdrives and a spawn of other products, on show.

Huksy Kevin going all-out with products and merchandise of all sizes and make for TTF 2009 - including collaboration mini figures with TOUMA and DEVILROBOTS (official product-pics posted below). I've no information about the above-posted figures tho - but they look interesting neverthless.

I did not realized how huge these STAY REAL bespectacled mice were until I peeped this image of Dom's baby next to it! (Hey, I wasn't at TTF physically, yeh? LOL). Not really sure if they were for sale, but the phone-strap attachments shown below [images via WrongWroks-blog] will be.
