"Hot Pot Girls" by Katsuya Terada Exhibition @ Giant Robot (Oct 19-Nov 6)

GIANT ROBOT PRESS: "Katsuya Terada is often referred to as a legend. He's classified as a "manga" artist, but he's more of an illustrator and fine artist. We're proud to show his work. He'll be here in person at Giant Robot 2 for his exhibition of original art: Hot Pot Girls this Saturday.

On Sunday, he'll be at Giant Robot 2 at 3pm to show you how he can also draw and paint digitally. He's well known as an early pioneer in this field. We'll also be releasing a mini-print. He'll sign books and he'll be fielding questions. "

The artwork previews for the exhibition previewed here (Facebooked / ) showcase an irresistible visual memory of Milo Manara's babes and the late Moebius' tech (to me anyways…) and a heap of headgear-style of Camilla D'Errico's "Helmet Girls" haha … and I find myself grabbing at the screen LOL … and if I am unable to afford the original sketches, please let there be a sketchbook reproduction for them to be had!

"Katsuya Terada is probably best known in the United States as the character-designer for the animated film Blood: The Last Vampire. He has also done work related to American comics, such as Iron Man and Hellboy (one of his illustrations was used for an official statuette of Hellboy). He also made additional contributions to old issues of Nintendo Power, including a special edition Strategy Guide for Dragon Warrior. In Japan, he has done the promotional illustrations for Detective Saburo Jinguji mystery-adventure video game series." (Wiki)
