Jakarta Comic Con 2015 (Sept 25-27)
"Geek Conventions" has been regularly sprouting up and about specifically in Asia, in the last few years, and the latest annual event to join the geekdom-schedule, is "Jakarta Comic Con" - currently happening in Jakarta over the weekend (Sept 25-27). Organized by True Visions - the folks behind Bangkok Comic Con - the event focuses on predominately Western film and television media, animation - activities of which are perfect for cosplays (more western than Japanese anime) and photo-ops!
And while you can check more event pics via their Facebook (some of which are reproduced here), I'd only wish we could see more coverage of indie arts and artists - from names familiar to this blog; including Bowo Baghaskara, Alympu, The Good Habit, Kong Andri, Kilas, MAFIA Factory, GLITCH Network et al… and maybe we will, after the event ends tomorrow Sunday Sept 27th … meanwhile, here are some IG'd pics to share :)
