Designer Toys at Singapore Comic Con 2019 (Dec 7-8)
Singapore Comic Con 2019 has since listed exhibitors, with this line-up focusing on "designer toys"! I will update this list if there are any changes and additions, as we head towards December 7th. Meanwhile, you can snag your admission tickets online here, and let's take a closer look, shall we?
Chapter#1 from Thailand is well known for their tee-shirts (I've even bought one that I knew could not fit me but loved the design of LOL), but for this coming SGCC, they'll be offering up a collectible figure at their Stand TS23 = Introducing "Demi Domi"! Updates via Insta @chapteronetshirt.
FRUS is a representation of the phrase “From: Us” and it is born out of the passion that they have for crafted works. Beyond customised illustrations, embroidery patches, postcards, stickers to tote bags, FRUS will be bringing folks their "Dylan the Trex" Resin Figure, at Stand TF9. Local toy-brand powerhouse Mighty Jaxx will have a presence at B21, along with offering up a debut release of XXRAY PLUS COOKIE MONSTER, with this 9" tall vinyl toy designed by Jason Freeny, who is an invited guest for SGCC this year! Indonesia-based customisers and toy-designers Alin and Bowo Baghaskara returns to Singapore, and will be setting up shop at Stand TF31! The last time I met them at our annual geekfest was in 2015!

Caos (pronounced as 'childs') was created to explore and blend the unique Singapore culture with the rest of the world through our toys, art and fashion. The creators of KAKI the Merlion will be boothing at Stand TF40, and offering up two editions: Monochrome Edition and White Heart Editions of this 6-inch tall figure, limited to only 20pcs each. A online pre-order has since been Sold Out!

DANIEL YU & FUFUFANNY will be boothing at Stand TS27, offering up their collective indie-designed and quite simply original created character art collectibles, for which you can stay connected to their Instas @thedanielyu and @fufufanny.kao for reveals and updates!

DOTOY (stands for "DO IT YOURSELF TOY") is a design platform for toy, from South Korea company STRANGE BEAM - who will be offering up their "representative character": JOZIO resin figure, in RED (limited to 100pcs) and the standard color way. View more on Insta @jozio_beam.
GoodGuysNeverWin toy co. will be offering up their unique blend of South-East Asia influenced indie-toys, packaged in their signature blister carded with silver-foil swishness! I've had a glimpse at their most recent offerings at BigBigCon, and you're to expect even more surprises to be had at Stand TS3!
@ggnwtoys will also have a booth at Culture Cartel on the exact same weekend, so stay sharp for any particular exclusives to be had! I'll be gunning for a VR-Man, thanks! Don't fight me for it hor, please? LOL
UK designer toy maker & illustrator based in Singapore, Jessica Emmett will be offering up her brand new resin figure Draffi and other goodies at her Stand TS28 - for which you really should stay connected to her Insta @jessica_emmett for TONS of work-in-progress and reveals!
Jefferson Ng will be bringing his AHBOY across the Straits to SGCC and setting up shop at Stand TF47 - offering up more JEFFERSONISM and designer character resins! Heck, I still have yet to open up my toy-score from last year too OMGGGGGGG

Nebby Art will be helming Stand TS43 and offering up a slew of custom-pieces, on top of his SAMEGO sofubi, with WHALERABBIT sharing the booth! I first met Ben Teo of Nebby Art and Heidi @eatmycrayons at last year's STGCC, and most recently at BigBigCon, and oh boy does he have surprises for folks!

HANDSOME Studio brings back UNCLE MERMAID to our island country, offering up their unique owned personal IP characters and toys at Stand TS8 ... I still have a "Cute Snot" collectible I bought last year I have yet to edit the toy review video for too! Updates via Insta @handsome_studio.
I'll always remember Vincent Trinidad Art's artist alley booth last year, when I spotted the Harry Potter-homage OWLY POTTER resin toy, and had always regretted not bringing back home one, when I could afford such ... folks interested should not miss out this year! Check out what he'll be having at SGCC this year via his Insta @vincenttrinidadart - including irresistible retro/synthwave artwork, and head to Stand TS50 and tell'em TOYSREVIL SENT YOU!
The line-up featured here is a marked reduction from what we saw in STGCC 2018 (*A year which folks lamented was affected by Shanghai Toy Show, which happened on the same weekend), ironically this year SGCC is facing a exodus of some regular toy-brands and artists to Culture Cartel 2019, also happening on the same weekend (6-8 December).
We've still yet to hear from Tara McPherson, and as well there are tons licensed toys to be had too, from The Loyal Subjects, Beast Kingdom, Tamashii Nations, Tintin, and plushies.
