ViVi for LOONA vs DESIGNER TOYS
In this LOONA vs DESIGNER TOYS serial feature, I attempt to pair a member of South Korean girl group LOONA (이달의 소녀) with a "Designer Toy" (Explained in detail HERE) - specifically ANIMAL-themed, to coincide with said-member's "animal"-icon. This post-feature is dedicated to "VIVI" and her "DEER" icon!

The fifth member of LOONA to debut is "ViVi", with the music video for "Everyday I Need You" (which featured the debut of JinSoul), B-Side to her debut single "Everyday I Love You" (uploaded online "13 May 2017").
I Introduce more of ViVi HERE, and as well continually feature her KPOP journey here on TUNESTALKSG. ViVi, together with HeeJin, HyunJin and HaSeul form the first sub-unit of LOONA: "LOONA 1/3", and have released a mini album "Love&Live", followed by a repackaged "Love&Evil". You can read more about the sub-unit (and listen/watch their MVs HERE on TUNESTALKSG. And if I had any skills, I'd rendered the following image for LOONA 1/3 with their representative animals...!
Hailing from Hong Kong, ViVi is the only "foreign" ("non-Korean") member of LOONA, and is the eldest of the 11 girls. She has become fluent in Korean, as well Mandarin and Cantonese. Featured below is a dance short for their HULA HOOP Japanese debut, followed by her dance short for "PTT (Paint The Town)", here she is wearing her Antler Crown!

"DEERCAT" is a character creation by Amber Aki Huang (IG @amber_aki_huang), since manifested unto self-produced plush (in slideshow above), and a vinyl toy produced by @strangecattoys (thus far 3 flavours released), with the next incarnation being a SITTING DEERCAT & buddy (Seen at DesignerCon 2021)!
From designer Park Sang Hyuk (IG @bakkuns) comes the "Milky Deer" & "Fortune Deer" and a wonderful stable of DEER-creations in resin! His recent releases had been specifically "winter/frost"(white+blue)-themed, while earlier releases had been of various colorwayss (SWIPE thru above embed to view).
With Antlers" or "Without Antlers", all DEERS are adorable, especially these. "MY DEAR DEER" from Hong Kong's Fluffy House, with these being PVC-made mini figures (sized 5 x 6.5cm) in a blind box series (Released March 2020 / Check in with your fav retailers for availability), available still via @fluffyhouse_official.
Released between 2016 to 2020, are limited editions of DEER-themed resin figures from U.S.-based toy designer COLUS (IG @colus - you'll see a few of his works in this project :p), immediately fulfilling the (angular) design aspect of #"DesignerToys", as well imbues it with the spirit of "ironic" and a deeper visual iconology we laud in our collectible toy culture, IMHO.
