Previews for The Jizo by Yukinori Dehara @ Giant Robot LA (June 5)

CLICK THRU for select preview peeks of new sculpts and artwork by Japanese artist Yukinori Dehara for "The Jizo" @ Giant Robot Los Angeles, who will also be making a "rare U.S. appearance" at the show's opening reception on June 5th Saturday (6:30-10:00pm). The Jizo exhibits thru July 7th 2010.

"For this show, Dehara's inspiration will be Jizo, the Buddhist divinity who protects the departed souls of deceased children, babies, and unborn fetuses, whose likeness can be found in cemeteries and on roadsides in Japan.
