Teenage Mutant Ninja Designer Turtle by NECA?

TMNT-NYTF2009

Spotted at NECA's display at the New York Toy Fair 2009 was this stylized version of a "Hero In A Half-Shell" - vibing a sweet designer-vinyl-tone aesthetically - at the very least an exploration into alternative forms, than what is currently available in the mass market, and what has been shown thus far by everyone else jumping unto the genre-wagon. Hey, I'm not against wagon-jumping, folks! Tis not about circling them wagons in the first place too LOL - Because beyond the necessity to generate revenue and the opening up of new markets (even more so a necessary option given the new dire economic climate), I'm hoping this will expand the culture of "designer vinyl" and an eventual understanding and acceptance of said culture, while not diluting it (which again, is inevitable in some quarters, innit?). But soap box dish-rallying aside, I'm also liking this design not just becoz it's different from the rest, but it somehow still embodies the "action figure" spirit, with the "action stance", IMHO. Will NECA be successful with bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into the designer-toy-genre? I'm looking forward to the developments! :)

UPDATED: TRE-Reader "ARA" writes: "The robot doggie thing is actually a "Mouser". According to the cartoon, they were designed by Baxter Stockman to hunt down Splinter and the Ninja Turtles." ~ Cool! thanks, A!
