Tickets for DesignerCon 2020 Launched! Shop via PopShopLive!
ABOVE: Updated with new "official" video introduction to the Online Edition of DesignerCon for 2020!
Revealed and featured above is the special limited edition 100% BE@RBRICK from @medicom_toy as designed by Scott Tolleson! DCON's mascot character "Vincent" is seen dressed as our favourite celluloid time traveller, in line with the iconology of this year's event too!
This figure will be apart of the VIP Ticket Holders for this year's Online Edition of DESIGNERCON (as announced earlier), which has since been made available on popshop.live/dcon2020 for US$65, in anticipation of the November 13th to 15th event.
"VIP tickets comes with Exclusive 100% Bearbrick, Exclusive enamel pin (Designed by Sket-One), Collectible VIP Artist Badge, DCON Mini Sharpie and most importantly comes with Friday Access to @designercon Online 2020 on @popshoplive."
General tickets are priced at US$10 (General Ticket will allow you access both Saturday and Sunday of the event). Download the app via @popshoplive, Use Code "DC2020".
As you could see from the purchase link, vendors/exhibitors will be conducting their sales via Streaming Commerce, and if you have been used to experiencing @e3dretro's pop shop live events for some time now, that is essentially the platform DCON sales will be conducted via.
Besides the "traditional" online way of "click-n-buy", DCON has found and decided on a more interactive engagement (IMHO), as mentioned in the Q&A in the video with Ben Goretsky, seen below.
General take-aways from the video include the existence of "Evergreen" listings that would be made available during non-live sessions (for your clicking and buying considerations), in between participating artists/vendors' scheduled POPSHOPLIVE sessions - something to consider for folks (such as myself) in different timezones.
One major consideration (for someone such as myself, outside of USA) is having my purchase able to be shipped outside of USA? I've read somewhere (I did not bookmark) that SALES was somehow "limited to within the U.S.A. only"? I've not actively searched for answers, but will post any updates once that gets cleared up.
I've not tried POPSHOPLIVE and all indications has mentioned this to be a mobile phone based streaming app (there might possibly be desktop hacks maybe? I don't now...?), so for folks with multiple phones, or are good navigators of multiple screens on your phone (or tablet? hhhmmm): ENJOY!
