"Attack on Titan: The Exhibition" @ ArtScience Museum, Singapore (Feb 19-July 3, 2022)
Starting February 19th, 2022, you'll be able to step in a world where humanity’s existence is threatened by gigantic humanoids ... Announcing the "Attack on Titan: The Exhibition".
Organised by SpaceLogic and presented at ArtScience Museum, "Attack on Titan: The Exhibition" is the culmination of Isayama’s master storytelling and artistic vision over the past decade, and this event will be the first presentation in Southeast Asia.
WHAT: "Featuring over 180 artworks by Hajime Isayama ranging from the manga's earliest days to the present, the exhibition will also showcase new pieces that have not been displayed anywhere else in the world, alongside drafts and sketches from his archives. Step into Isayama's sprawling dystopia and experience an immersive battle sequence set in the Great Titan Theatre as well as displays of Titans, characters and objects from the manga." (Read more here).
Ticketed admission is available here, as well at all Marina Bay Sands box offices from January 20th. Exhibiting through July 3rd, 2022 (Daily: 10am – 7pm / Last entry at 6pm).
With the completion of the manga (October 19, 2021), and premiere of the second half of Season 4 aired starting January 10th, this looks to be a splendid rah-rah-ending to the lore, IMHO.
Seasons 1 and 2 of the anime were important and impactful to me (on a very personal front, in an era very excessively dear to me), and I remembered scouring the event floor of the 2013 Edition of Anime Festival Asia for all-things "Shingeki no Kyojin", at the height of my personal-frenzy, for which was partially successful but HUNGRY for more!
Alas my fervour for the series had since diminished thru the years, I do feel somewhat disgruntled, with a tinge of "too little too late"... if only THIS exhibition had happened then! LOL
Regardless of my allegience, or lack thereof, I'll always have my TOYS (Nendoroids, gachas or bootlegs) ... :)
