planetary ending
read from Warren Ellis' workblog:
"SEPTEMBER 26:
Scott Dunbier says all the pages for PLANETARY #26 are in. That means the story is now over — we’re doing an “aftermath” issue at a later date, but now, to all intents and purposes, PLANETARY is complete."

and i suddenly feel pretty darn sad about that, even tho the series continues at an alarmingly slow rate (25 issues in 8 years?) the stories that were told before were magical and fantastical, and the art made it all "real" and believeable ... and here itz all poised to end .. and mayhap it should, rather than having someone else come on-board and "adapt" or "continue" with the adventures of our interpid trio of archaeologists ... but ending at issue#26? (yes, of coz there's the "aftermath issue") would Elijah's true plans be revealed? would the Drummer have his revenge? would Jakita ever find true lurve? (im kiddin') and with 26-issues (+1) and collected in 3 trade paperbacks and an additional collected crossovers-TPB, Planetary's relatively "easy" to collect and read - for a comicbook like no other, not your regular superhero-fare but much more, of subdued sci-fi, of myth and the supernatural, of the simple guilty-pleasures of pop-culture-meets-fictional decadence = i highly recommend that you try Planetary.
