asiantoysexpo-watch: korean 1/6 customizers
:: TOYS / 1/6 / EVENT ::
on this blog i've featured uber-1/6-customizers like Arnie Kim, Kojun and Vancei and now let's add three more Korean-names (whose gonna be featured in the ATE 2006) to that list [via]:
Kim Sang Hyun, aka Gorae aka CX-Style = whose immaculate and life-like headsculpts are exceptional, with a quiet stillness that embodies it with realism, IMHO - as evident from these sculpts of Hartigan (Bruce Willis from Sin City) and Tom Cruise and 'ol Red ("Hellboy" to you non-fans *heh*)
and going thru his blog there are countless other customs as well, including these pair of "old" 1/6th Adidas:
*effin' schweet!*
the first time i featured Rainman was his Charlie Chaplin-custom and now he's back with more goodies, including a toy "cartoon" (comic) featuring detailed hyper-anime styled-sculpts and fashion (made by Harue, no less!)
*i likie loads*
Harue (Creative) = Hai & Rueann, 1/6th fashion designers
with their finely tailored 1/6th-wear in exquisite form and cut, this is the first time im seeing their works and i am simply blown away.
the problem with mostly (if not all) mass-market produced clothing (especially casual / non-military attire) is that they do not exactly fit well, nor provide a decent cut to fit the action figure, much less make them look "good" or "real" ... from these scant images, you can see that is not the case with Harue's creations. the "style" shown is immaculate and very much appreciated, IMHO :)
and you can now order their fine tailorship here = *simply awesome*
im sure there are other great Korean 1/6 customizers as well (there's loads of image references but no web-links! *urgh*) and will be featured in time in this here blog ... for now, just simply enjoy these three customizers' work :)
