what is BEAR IN MIND 3?
Bear in Mind, which means “Bear in Mind” as well as “to remember" - is a group show of custom urban toys with bears and other creatures, all of which have been creatively modified. Bear In Mind 3 is in it's third year now and involves participants from different backgrounds: graphic designers, illustrators, fashion designers, photographers, writers, painters, architects, musicians, DJs, etc = all of whom become creators of Urban Bears for the occasion of Bear in Mind = *read more details after the JUMP*
Bear In Mind 3 involves the following:
01.Create your own Urban Bear
Customized styrofoam bears. The bears all begin as pure white. Next, the artists add their own touches, colors, accessories, etc. These bears represent transformable comunicators. 50 customized bears will be displayed at the show.
02.Create your own Spiky Baby
with the permission of his creator, Shin Tanaka, Bear in Mind 3 will display about 15 customized spiky babies paper toys.
03.Create your own Munny
with the collaboration of an italian distributor of designer toys, Atom Plastic, Bear in Mind will present 15 customized Munnys from KidRobot
Bear in Mind is an ambitious project hatched by Rieko Hagiwara in the winter of 2006 in Milan, Italy. The aim is to create a community where creative people can come together and express themselves by customizing styrofoam bears. the event will run from 25th may to 27th May 2007, with the opening party @ Studio H2O in Milan, beginning at 20:00 on May 25, 2007.
