takashi murakami's flower ball soccer ball

now, do you really wanna be kicking these balls?

not least 'coz it's USD$400-per, but tis designed by Takashi Murakami (founder of "Superflat") ... but i'd seriously like to know WHY? why was this product ever made? for fellow designers to have a stylish game of soccer?

i mean, i could attempt to regale y'all with my teen-years of lurving soccer ... but the reality was, i was too unfit lazy to run about and dribble, so i was always the fullback. never the goalie tho, becoz my eye-hand-coordination sucked -(pardon me)-balls ... *heh*

    Know why this soccer ball was designed in the first place??

    --> to get girls like me attracted to it enough to buy 1 and attempt soccer!!!

    (not like we wud wana kick such a pretty ball on the muddy fields anyway...mayb dribble ard e sofas in the living rm lah~ Wahahaha!!!)

    part of the novelty of it is that its odd. You WOULDN'T play soccer with it. So that makes it a very unexpected platform for a Murakami design ya know?
