girls out loud and girl on girl

basket. i can't believe im saying this but this is quite damn addictive: Girls Out Loud = 8-episodes with 3-parts each; reality-tv, Singapore-style.

produced by local production outfit munkysuperstar, Girls Out Loud was televised/aired on local telly; circa end-2006 (yes im slow that way) and has since been youtubed and viewable online now @ clicknetwork (*cool*).

hosted by Power 98 98.7FM DJ Rosalyn Lee (spent an ungodly amount of hours searching for her blog, i feel like a dirtyoldman now, basket) and Wendy Cheng (aka XiaXue infamous local blogger) with a very firm tongue-in-cheek look at Singapore ... and for my overseas readers, it's heavy on tinged with Singlish (Singapore-style-English) - so after you watch then come Singapore not worries can understand lieow ... *heh*

frankly i've seen snippets before and didn't really think much of it ... tis puerile, juvenile and downright ridiculous at times, but you know what? it held my attention. it made me cringe until my oldmanhairs curled and straightened and curled and straightened back again, it made me giggle, it made me LOL, most importantly; it entertained me ... can see that they're having fun, hence im having fun too (this is what i call "television-psycho-osmosis" LOL) ... it also helps heaps that Ros' so cool; she's a hottie ... fine, i said it. so there.

and then there's current new series; Girl On Girl (sponsored by Clearly For Men): where a group of 6 girls do what "Men" do (ie: go thru an army obstacle course, change a spare tire :p), to compete for a cash prize of SGD$10K (*slaps-palm-on-forehead* LOL) = both stupendously hair-brained hilarious and utterly scary at the same time (imagine these could be potential girlfriends and wives in Singapore ... yah) - in what i call; "honey-trap-programming" ... eye-candy-entertainment lah ... but becoz got Ros hosting also ...*heh*

and see Ros and Wendy (in lingerie) making their very own (version of a) sex-video in one of the eps of Road Trip - sorry i wish i could sound less shallow, but i can't keep up with the masquerade anymore ... *flails-meekly* :p


i was going on just yesterday somewhere along the lines of "watching local television productions are like staring at roadkill. it shears thine eyes like holy-water does vampire-skin, it smells so rancid you'd hanker for a blow-torch to to wield thy nostril shut, and it insults thee mildly-moderate intelligence ... but still i cannot take my attention away from it" ... but these are fun, so i'de rather be entertained than be told the secrets of the universe (most times) ... *heh*
