about frank kozik's stalin: the man of the people
after the Chairman MAO (Bird Is The Word) and HO CHI MINH (Fuck You G.I You Die)-vinyl statues, the next one on Frank Kozik's dead-dictator's block is comrade STALIN (wonder what's his tagline is / wiki) = sporting a not-so-Bolshevik pin-striped baseball-jersey (Joseph Stalin vs Joe DiMaggio), and Kozik's trademark cancer-stick, gloriously-kitschy in HOT PINK! (seen on Kidrobot but has since been pulled)
sculpted by Brin Berliner and standing at a massive 16"-er tall, STALIN is slated for a possible year-end-drop in 8 different colorways (samples shown below of Red Flocked, Blue Flocked, Bronzed - 4 more to go!), limited to 50-units each and available via different retailers as specific exclusives (more details when i find them :p) ... now, im not going into the "validity and/or value" of this particular series, but it puts a wee giggle in my disposition and captures the inane spirit of the new millennium while poking at the past with a white hot poker, with a smile and a wink, and that's good enough for me, IMHO. more dictors to look forward to: Idi Amin and Mussolini.
