about that writemytoy vinyl platform toy project by bonustoyz x mist
Bonustoyz is currently preparing to produce their first mini series (in 2008) with several Graffiti Artist's participation from around the globe with their brand new platform project; WriteMyToy! created by MIST, the final vinyl figure will come in 2 sizes: a regular petite-version the approximate size of a Dunny, while a "special" DIY-version clocks in at a whopping 30cm tall! Reeno (of Bonustoyz) mentions: "the (artist)-list is currently under construction and we are working at the same time on the template and test shot ... the vinyl is to be released at the same time or a closer time in-between the same character, and perhaps a suprise design will be launch also in 30CM."from the colored-protos shown here, the figure looks like a brick-wall just come alive and walked out on it's own (*cool*), this "platform-toy" seems a perfect foil for graffiti-customs, yeh? with the textured brick-layers adding to the visual tapestry, the DIY-version may well be an sweet-base to work from, while the Dunny-sized regular version (no doubt with designed-skin-claddings :p) may prove to be a challenge, IMHO. kudos to Bonustoyz & Mist for the effort and ingenuity, and here's to more diversity in designer vinyls, folks!
