Loady McGee is the spikey-haired, zit-faced jerk who loves watching snuff movies and eating teddy grahams. The Loady McGee doll comes with a broken bottle, a baseball bat with a nail in it, and a dead fish. The pulsating zits
Sinus O'Gynus is America's #1 wimp and Loady's favorite punching bag. The Sinus O'Gynus doll comes with a knife, a paddle ball game, and a dead fish. Sinus also has a REAL bloody slit on his back for real back-stabbing fun. I can relate with the knife-stuck-down the-back-feeling tho, and have been walking around with that for years now ... heh.
The figures ship in dirty outhouse themed boxes - complete with peekaboo crescent moon and fully functioning swinging door (with magnetic closure) for the "private" business. (And that smell is the fresh whiff of vinyl, if you must know :p). The dolls are approximately 8" high, the outhouse is 11" high.
I've always liked the concept of comic-strip-characters made into toys, especially so with non-mainstream comics aka "alternative" sub x counter-culture comicdom, and this pair is no different. The amount of accessories and details put into them, by far exceeds the expectations one would traditionally (which doesn't seem the case in this new age of toys) associate with a literal comics-to-toys evolution, IMHO. Nifty playtime to be had, beyond displaying them on the shelves! And one of my fav details for these figures: smeared on the soles of their shoes - Loady (below-left) gets dog-shit, while Sinus (right) has chewing gum LOL
FYI: Johnny Ryan also does Vice Magazine's monthly comics strip. Check out the A.Y.C. Vinyl Dolls review via Vice Magazine here
Also available are two icky TOXIC WASTE VARIANTS versions! Dolls come in the same outhouse packaging, and with the same accessories, but in gross, drippy colors in a mix of matte and shiny finishes - in a GREEN/Blue and RED/YELLOW color-combos. Priced at US$$69.95 each, or US$130 for both - available via Johnny Ryan's shop-page! (Quantities undetermined).
