Kathie Olivas will be at Toy Tokyo Booth #858 on Saturday, February 7th from 12 noon to 2:00PM signing her two new exclusives along with her husband/partner Brandt Peters, who will also be releasing his new Peacemaker 32.9 figure and signing.
Since this will be Kathie's and Brandt's only New York appearance, Toy Tokyo has arranged for both artists to sign one toy item purchased and only one other item (DIY figure, Dunny, print, book or sketch) as a courtesy to all fans and customers. Said Lev, owner of Toy Tokyo, "We anticipate a huge turn out and demand, so this is the only fair solution to everyone in attendance. Our goal is to be able to accommodate as many fans as possible in the time allotted."
With that being said, one can expect the demand will be equally as great for both NYCC MINDstyle exclusives by Kathie Olivas. The NYCC Scavenger Beaumont exclusive figure is limited to 200 pieces. The suggested retail price of USD $20.00 reflects the cost of having to air freight the figures in for the event; and still remains a great value.
One of the most popular color versions is the grey NYCC Hazel exclusive. Certainly a fan favorite is limited to 200 pieces worldwide and available for USD $100 at the show. Only a limited amount will be available each day with the balance on sale at a later date online and at Toy Tokyo.
The first two Hazel color ways quickly sold... MINDstyle co-founder and visionary mind, MD Young is quick to point out, "There is not a flurry of releases or color ways, but rather a well-planned schedule timed with key events and limited editions produced for select markets." He adds, "Our plan has always been to keep production runs limited, yet provide enough product to meet the huge demand while maintaining our high quality standards and market value at a reasonable price. In what may seem like a lot of releases, this certainly is not the case as our schedule reflects. In actuality, we could have done similar to other companies and easily manufactured 1,500 pieces of one color way to meet the orders. However, it has always been part of our brand to limit the edition size and release various color for the different markets to expand each respective artists fan base. The Asia version serviced an all important market where we are now based. It's the same with Europe. The EU green color way is produced to service that market and give fans something special."
