Awesome New Suckadelic Bootlegs for Band Of The Lost.com (June 3 midnight-drop)
UPDATED 04.06.09: Items have gone "live" online here and post updated with prices :)
The ever inventive x creative Sucklord has quite an awesome (IMHO) selection of Suckadelic-bootleg toy-coolness set for a June 3rd midnight launch specifically via BandOfTheLost.com - along with the launch of a new track + music video ("Mega Maghetti Mix" by The Crystal Pharoah). The above stunning image shows the EVOLUTION figures! While below features a series of "Crystal Matrix" custom MIMOBOT Flashdrives!
CLICK THRU for a closer-look at all the SUCK-toy-sweetness, along with some product info (*although currently no prices have been revealed - as all images and info were spied+swiped from the SUCK-Flickr muahahaha ;p). CLICK THRU or Cry When You Miss'em!
The most extravagant SUCKADELIC set to date. The BAND OF THE LOST: EVOLUTIONS 3 PACK contains 3 exclusive figures in a high-quality, full color, 10" x 12" blister pack. By far the dopest thing SUCKADELIC has done to date. In an edition of 40 pieces. 30 available for US$150 each.
The next installment in the standard bootleg series, BAND OF THE LOST: SALARYSTAK BOOTLEG is #9 in the Suckadelic Final Eleven (when The Sucklord ends his reign of bootlegging toys! Oh Noez!). Sucklord-says: "Glad it's almost over. I'm running out of colored paper options. I Like that brown color. Very earthy."
Also notice the blister-carded Salarystak has different colored-eyes compared to the Evolution 3-Pack-edition (black versus red ... or am I color-blind? :p). SALARYSTAK is in an edition of 40 pieces. 30 available at US$40 each.
BAND OF THE LOST: STARSTAK BAGGIE comes bagged with header-card, in an edition of 40 pieces. 30 available for US$40 each. Also notice the gloves and space-booties are Gold, versus the Evolution 3-Pack-edition in Silver. ADDED: "Exclusive Gold Version" (duh :p) ... Sucklord-says: "Our most detailed figure yet, with multiple paint apps and a cool dome helmet. Based off the classic Adventure People Astronaut body."
WIP-Starstak was posted on TRE a few days back (which Jimmy Foo accurately identified the figure's "origins" - which I couldn't find off the web LOL). Sucklord-adds: "I love that Adventure people Astronaut body. I am going to make a bunch of variations using it with different colors and heads. If you think you would like to collect that whole series, you should get this one now."
About the BAND OF THE LOST: SLEESTAK KNOCK-OFF - Sucklord-says: "This one is a little different than all of our normal Bootlegs cuz it's just a straight interpretation of the character without any irony or screwing around. That's because there is no "real" Sleestak figure in this scale. This is a cast of a custom make by a figure artist who has oddly chosen to remain uncredited. Regardless, it's a hot one."
Sleestak is in an edition of 40 pieces. 30 available for US$35 each.
The BAND OF THE LOST: CRYSTAL MATRIX DRIVE custom MIMOBOT Flashdrives come in 8 different Blind-Bagged Colors, and comes loaded with exclusive LAND OF THE LOST video and Breakbeat remixes by the Crystal Pharoah. In a edition of 50 pieces. 30 available at US$30 each.
This is what The Sucklord had to say about this series of releases:
"The LAND of the LOST movie is gonna suck, and Will Ferrell is a total douche for making it into some stupid asshole comedy. For real. The show, as cheezy and flawed as it was, had some pretty serious Sci-fi themes going on. There was a real charm to the low budget effects and the hoakey over acting. There is for sure a lot of opportunity for comedy there. I'm not mad that it's a comedy. It just looks like a very lowbrow, typical Will Ferrell vehicle that shows no respect for the integrity of the source material or it's fans. I hope I'm wrong, but that awful clip they showed on Conan the other night was not encouraging at all. Stupid potty humor. That's why these figures are coming out now. To act as a salve to the heartbroken fans that are being screwed by Mr. Ferrell and his bullshit, self-serving stinkeroo. Enjoy! "
