Arkiv Instant x Pot Meets Pop Denim Launch Party @ Lou Belle Shop, Bandung (Nov 28-Dec 3)
Fashion and Art met on November 28th at Lou Belle Shop's living room in Bandung, Indonesia ~ with the collaboration of jeans-label Pot Meets Pop and artist / toy-designer Arkiv in a launch party, which saw the debut of limited edition jeans, display of Arkiv's artwork and live art performance ~ CLICK THRU to have a peep at slideshowed-snaps of the event's festivities.
POST-UPDATE: If you've been on my blog since yesterday, you would have realized an image is missing. A request has been made to remove said image as it is not ready for public consumption as yet (although it was on-show for folks who attended the event). OFFICIAL-PRESS: For their Winter ‘09 collection, Pot Meets Pop Denim has teamed up with Indonesian artist, Arkiv to produce a pair of jeans. Arkiv had a strong debut with his first vinyl figurine called "Arkiv Instant", then he redesign of Mickey Mouse for Disney Asia. Taking their slim-fit Super Thaistick cut, the jeans are made from redline selvage denim with basic washed and features Arkiv's painting on the leather patch. Another details in this jeans are the hidden selvage on coin pocket with "peek-a-boo" detail, special packaging designed by Arkiv, and each jeans are chopped "ORISINIL ARKIVART!" to prove that this project is officially done by Arkiv himself. Don’t miss this out as it's very limited and each jeans are numbered 1 to 70 out of 70 pairs

Marin of My Tummy Toys and head-honcho of Lou Belle Shop adds: "We are really happy to have organized this event, not just that this is the first event in Indonesia who has a collaboration project between Premium Local brand and local toys artist, but because before that I never heard of such a project before ... also mixed in the event was a good electronic band called Electronic Groove and Drum and Bass DJ as well. In addition, cocktails and a good crowd who can appreciated the event, and all the limited jeans also sell out, really made the event a success.
And one of the funny things that happened was that there two guys who had wanted to fight last night at the parking area, because one of the guys could not buy the jeans!"
