Booth Display Images for KusoVinyl @ WonderCon 2010 (April 2-4)
WonderCon opened it's doors to the public on Friday April 2nd at the Moscone Center South in San Francisco, and via the miracles of the internets ~ we folks who are thousands of miles away ~ are able to partaketh of the event, well, via photos, innit? KusoVinyl had posted Day 1-snaps on their blog featuring oddles of vinyl-treats and surprises, which you can CLICK THRU for a peek, along with my incessant -ramblings you have grown to lurve (or "abhor", I really wouldn't know either way ~ but thanks still for reading this humble blog).
NINJA SPIKIS by Nakanari of Mai-Hiro held center-shelf with the release of the popular anime-inspired orange-colored Noruto Ninja Spiki [details-blogged], including the chase "red" eyed version, displayed in-front of the Lucky Cat Spiki [blogged] of which only 3 pcs were made available at WC (did YOU score one?), and a swell dark-grey version of Spiki in imitable Nakanari-strokes. Also on display was the full reveal of the new white-bodied+black-faced "Adult Crayon" CMYK Spiki (with only the head's back previously teases here), sporting a magenta-scarf. *Nice*
CELSIUS from Rotobox Vinyl Anatomica showed up as a DIY-Blank [blogged] standing right next to the show-exclusive GID Tiger Lucha Bear from Itokin Park [details-blogged], as well as a baby-fied-design on the new series of tees, produced under Kuso's new apparel-line "KUSOPOP" [first teased here].
MICTLAN from Jesse Hernandez made a surprise appearance courtesy of producer Kuso, or rather an unpainted prototype. Looking smaller than I had imagined tho (from the previous post), but nevertheless features impressive detailing especially in the exotic "carvings". Sorry folks, no further details other than the images (Would be nice if you'd reply my email, Mr Hernandez!).
P/S: You folks also noticed (what looks like) the GID and Yellow versions of Marine Ramdhani's JOUWE at base of image? Do note that only 20pcs (out of the 200pc worldwide run) of the Red Edition Jouwe will be available at it's WonderCon debut [details-blogged]. Congrats, Marine and Joshua @ Plastic Culture!
Admittedly, here in TOYSREVIL, there is a saying (which I am revealing to you all now for the first time now): "Eventually, ALL characters become handphone charms and/or keychain attachments" (in this day-n-age anyways :p) ~ and it will only be a question of "quality of make", IMHO. Adorable danglies in the shape of Spikis, Itokin Park's Mikazukin bell-straps on display and available at the KusoVinyl booth #1343. I wonder what surprises are in store over the Easter Weekend? WonderCon exhibits thru Sunday April 4th ~ Do drop by, say *HI* and tell'em TOYSREVIL sent'ya!
