After it's successful premiere at the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (circa July 2nd), Daniel Zana's The Vinyl Frontier toy documentary [www] will see it's next high-profile screening engagement at the coming SDCC 2010 Film Festival! Scheduled for a 6pm showing (thru to 8pm) on July 23rd @ The Marriot Hotel & Marina (Marriot Hall 1&2). After the screening there will be a Q&A with Daniel, Attaboy, Brian McCarty, Frank Kozik, and Bwana Spoons. Do check their Facebook Events-page for any updates.
I had asked Daniel about his impressions for the launch of his film (and how long the journey took), to which he shares with us: "The documentary started in 2006, when I reached out to artists across the world and started doing my research about this fascinating subculture. I'm extremely happy with the way the film came out and I'm very eager to see what people (especially those in the vinyl community) think about the film." ~ says Daniel.
