Tarnished Daydreams Feature: Theodore P. Saddleforth by Doktor A
TOYSREVIL: As asked before, some of your figures have a sense of latent ferocity in them, and I love it that Theodore actually "shows" it, with his arms by the sigh of his figure! Very emotive work here! The added bicycle is very impressive for this set. Is there a story to this production? Is this a sign of things to come from Doktor A?
DOKTOR A: I think this is more the direction I am moving in. Constructed works which may at some times use parts of toys within them. I am focusing this year on increasing my build quality. That is to say using more authentic materials. Using real metals rather than painted plastic and adding in real glass lenses in the eyes for example. I want to use more precious metals like silver and gold and add a level of jewellery aesthetics to the pieces. I see good Mechtorian designs as being part toy, part jewellery and part furniture.
STORY: Theodore P. Saddleforth is Enthusiastic cyclist and champion of outdoors persuits in general. Theodore is an extremely sporting fellow. He would rather take part in any event than sit and watch from the sidelines. Unfortunately he is not terribly good at any of them. He has discovered that his best event is bicycle racing, as long as the route is mostly down hill.
PRODUCT-DETAILS: "Theodore P. Saddleforth" is built out of Vinyl, Lead, ABS, Paper, Brass, Copper, Rubber, Steel, Polymer Clay, and Found Objects. Standing 11.5" tall in dome - the figure is listed as SOLD OUT.
