French Lowrider by Alëxone x Artoyz Originals (May 5-release)
We first caught a whiff of French Lowrider by Alëxone at Vinyl Pulse's booth in NYCC 2010 (On display was the orange+olive green "Regular" version). Now this 9'' wide and 6'' high figure is ready to be unleashed to the public starting May 5th at Alëxone's new exhibition at Galerie L.J. in Paris - where this limited colorway edition will be released and available as pre-order.
Limited to 150 pieces and priced at 75 Euros, this FRENCH LOWRIDER features a sculpt by Julien Moreau and produced by Artoyz Originals. This is the 1st vinyl toy ever released by Alëxone. Shown directly blow is the box-art for the figure, featuring the design-stylings of Alëxone.
ORIGINS: Based on one of his painting (a tribute to his old Citroën BX), the French Lowrider is an amazing piece of vinyl by Alëxone Dizac, with an unusual visual treatment, far away from everything ever released in the Toy's World. Behind the wheel of this surreal car sits a masked penguin, iconic character from Alexone's world.
FIGURE-SET: This driver is fully equipped with two bendable arms (plus an extra one on the removable cap) holding spraycans. As he can't really drive with busy hands, he can still count on his 5 smaller co-pilots penguins.
