Toy-Review: Racer & Mecha from Android 2 Mini Collectible by DYZ Plastic
TOY-STORY: As previously blogged, the Android Mini Collectibles Series 2 is the second series release featuring the Google Android mascot as a 3-inch tall toy as produced and released by DYZ Plastic.
Each display case consists of 16 x blind boxed containing a randomly placed toy within, with NOOGLER part of the basic assortment, with a ratio of 1/16 - which essentially mean you might get one figure in a selection of 16 figures.
This box of Androids Series 2 is courtesy of The Taken Shop (The Official Distributer of Androids in Malaysia). You are able to procure the set or single boxes online via http://www.takenshop.com, as well OG-Green and DIY Androids.
** Especially for TOYSREVIL-readers - there is a discount code for worldwide free shipping! Remember the code is "toysrevil.blogspot.com" (without the quotes). The discount code is only applicable on purchases over RM400.00 with any items available in the store.
Designed by Jeff Yaksick of The Android Team, we feature two of the three designed-Androids he had done for the series (yesterday we featured Noogler). First up is RACER - with a ratio of 1/16 (which means one in 16 blind boxes) - featuring white racing-stripes on a dark green chasis, and a license plate at the back. The Android-driver in-front is a nice touch.
The third Android-design from Jeff, is one of the "chase" figures in Series 2: "MECHA"! There is no ration listed for this design, which sees an Android in the cockpit operating the mechanized "giant" Android! Would be utterly cool is the "Switch" at the back was in actual "relief" form, like the license-plate shown above -but I understand this is a platform figure, and I am just being toy-greedy :p
Truthfully I am not a huge fan of these designs, but one of them is a chase figure, and everyone likes "chase" inserts! And together, they make a nice pair than individually in this set, IMHO.
