Nanoblocks Seen @ STGCC 2011
Nanoblocks are miniature versions of plastic building blocks (ala LEGO) and feature a diverse variety of builds and scenarios - most prominently of singular figure-sets and scenarios. Introduced to Singapore a while back, they come plastic-bagged and had been previously available at Action City stotes in Singapore (I've even bought a couple of bags for myself. This is a huge public showing of their works, taking the space of 2 booth spaces.
I like that they do not seem to have a burden of "history" like Lego does, and have imagery that might appeal to the singular builder without the weight of 'media licenses' and can provide seemingly non-pressured buys of their blocks and perhaps aid in promoting the "hobby", and "play", IMHO.
