Submissions for Gunpla Builders World Cup 2011 @ Compass Point, Singapore (Nov 15-27)
Shown here are a few dioramas I absolutely loved (I did not keep a record of who did what tho, so do feel free to leave a comment and/or link to your work in the comments section of this post!) - whom are part of the submissions for the Gunpla Builders World Cup 2011 (Singapore entires) aspect of the Gunpla Expo World Tour - currently on-show at Compass Point in Seng Kang, Singapore. Two categories were on show: Open and Junior Categories, and boy, were some of them really inspiring! (And as you can see, I've a thing for "dioramas" myself lol).
Very interesting indeed to see a DIY-aesthetic involved in toys, particularly of a non 'art-toy' genre. But then again the genre of hobby-kit building has been around for much longer, hasn't it?
