Happy Chinese Lunar New Year 2012
As the clock strikes a minute past twelve midnight on January 23rd (Singapore-time), I no doubt am still "awake", with the annual "ritual" of keeping awake past the Eve (the day of the "Reunion Dinner" - whereby everyone in the family comes back to share a meal together - very much like Thanksgiving, I reckon) into the Chinese Lunar New Year, in an act of "keeping vigil" to have your elders live a healthy and happy life in the year to come. Which in the case of the Heng household, means counting down to the tune of either (A) China-based New Year celebratory musical show, or (B) Singapore-based New Year celebratory musical show.
Regardless, it has become a 'tradition", and given the drama happening with Dad and Mum being sick, this situation has become a "welcomed" happenstance, as everyone in our family can sit together under the same roof, and watch television, whatever is on the screen :)
In this first day of the Lunar New Year, permit me to wish YOU, the readers - an extremely fabulous 2012 to come - May your Days be filled with Wealthiness, Good Health, and blissful Happiness!
