ChubByrd new resin toy (indiegogo campaign)
Joan Raven shares with us her "indiegogo campaign" for a new resin toy named "ChubByrd" - available to view via www.indiegogo.com. Hey, I like chubby-characters, and this bird sure has had it;s fair share of worm-buffets, no? Go poke it's belly, I dare ya! LOL
WHAT: ChubByrd is the first project on the art toys field of the illustrator and electronic music producer Joan Raventós, based in Barcelona.
The project is based on a strong d.i.y approach, Joan have been building some specialized tools and machines, like a rotocasting machine or a vacuum chamber, and all the manufacturing process is done in the studio, resulting in an ultra smooth and silky sculpt, and a really cool packaging ( still in prototype stage). The designer is interested in the design process, but focusing on the manufacturing process and how to achieve professional results with a D.I.Y attitude. Punk attitude in these grey days!!
