STGCC Announces New Guests: coarse + Leinil Francis Yu
Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Con 2012 (STGCC) announces the addition of more 'Guests' for the annual event - featuring Mark Landwehr and Sven Waschk of coarse, and Marvel Comics illustrator Leinil Francis Yu!
Coarse had been on the con-list for a few years, but never manage to make our shores, until this year! I remember they were supposed to be next door to my booth in 2009 too (the TOYSREVIL booth was between them and Cammy d'Errico's ;p). The STGCC-press mentioned "The artists will be designing STGCC exclusives for their fans." = So this will be a real treat for folks here, I reckon!
As well I've loved Leinil Francis Yu's art for a long time, and had missed him in previous year's appearance, so hopefully i can snag some time away from my Artist Alley table to go stalk him for a print and signature lol - And while we've seen "polished" illustrations from him before, posted here are two copic marker sketches instead. Look for more of his work via leinilyu.deviantart.com, and if you happen to be at SDCC this year, check out his booth #4907. where he'll be partnering with Olivier Coipel (LOVED his new Thor series when it relaunched).
