Seen @ Designer Con 2012
I've tried to uploaded images of DesignerCon on THIS Facebook album, as they are tweeted/instagramed/posted "live" via a variety of folks, and these are some swell highlights I noticed and share here with you folks:
- TOUMA x D460 figurines on sale, showcasing a mild purple spray. Will eventually be listed here for online sales in two versions.
- DRIPPLE from Sket-One x Bad JuJu. Upon seeing this I then discovered his resin makes! Stay tuned to his Facebook for post-event sales updates.
- Martin Hsu's Crabby Bear (from his Crackens) made in collaboration with Lana Crooks.
- Lava Bunny is Sold Out! Hopefully that means the 'stock at DCon' is sold out, and folks around the world can still score one, IMHO.
Any even now is about Artist Signings and Sketching, and DesignerCon is no exception, featuring Buff Monster (at the Sidekick Lab booth), Nathan Hamill (at TOUMA's booth), Sket-One and Thomas Han "returns" to the art toy scene!
I like that this time around, loads of artists either tweeted or instagramed their booths at DCon - as it happens! Check out booths from Gary Ham, Hyperactive Monkey, A Little Stranger / Hey Cavey, and Evilos. My "favorite" has to be the booth where Jeremiah Ketner + Jason Limon + NC Winters helmed, and a nice spread of goods to show the world online!
I've always wondered how Circus Posterus booths looked and do not really much of that, so am thankful DCon gave us swell peeks! And part of the event was Sucklord's SUCK-CON and SUCK-Carnival - where I no doubt would've happily partaketh of if I was there in person LOL - how could I miss the game prizes? hahahahaha
Folks also had a look at TOUMA's new head-piece! Touma-san "normally" wears a Knuckle-Bear wrestler's full-head mask for events, but he is seen at DCon with a shaped headpiece instead!
