13 x 2013: RATKING
WHAT: 13 Creators to Look Out for in 2013. The challenge was simple: Identify 13 x Artists / Creators / Designers who will be taking the year two thousand and thirteen by storm, and quiz them! About half of them were also nominated by their fellow practitioner in this endeavor, so it'll be a swell mix indeed! BIO: Anthea "Ratking" T. is one of those people who would eat a dusty gobstopper found on the floor. Growing up watching her father paint murals and huge sheets of paper almost effortlessly left an impression permanently in her mind, and is the root and reason to why she does what she does today. If she wasn't "making art", she would probably be a professional junk food connoisseur.

TOYSREVIL: Describe how 2012 has been for you, in thirteen words!
RATKING:
TOYSREVIL: What is the one thing folks might not about you?
RATKING: Because I go by "Ratking", most people get the impression that I'm a dude. I can't count the amount of times someone has said to me, "Shit, you're a girl.. I had no idea!" I find that really amusing though.
TOYSREVIL: Share with us your most triumphant moment in 2012.
RATKING: Once, I had twenty cans of Red Bull and stayed awake for three days straight without dying-- feeling immortal while trying to battle caffeine jitters felt pretty awesome. (It was terrible)
TOYSREVIL: What is your most favorite toy or piece of art you've seen in 2012?
RATKING: The first thing that popped into my mind upon reading this question was Die Antwoord x Good Smile Company's "Evil Boy" figure.
TOYSREVIL: Which is your single most favorite non-toy-related website in 2012.
RATKING: www.tattoosnob.com, though they've recently decided to call it quits.

RATKING: "Crazymadrushprobablyfilledwithmoresleeplessnights".
TOYSREVIL: What are you most looking forward to in 2013?
RATKING: Animal Crossing for the Nintendo 3DS, I've been waiting forever for it to be released.. Plus it just sold 2 million copies in Japan, so I know it won't disappoint!
TOYSREVIL: Are You A Jedi Master or A Sith Lord?
RATKING: No saying no to the dark side.

RATKING: Instagram for sure, it can be connected to Twitter/Facebook too.
TOYSREVIL: Describe your own work/art in thirteen words.
RATKING: Can't, be, sure, but, I, think, there's, still, a, lot, of, room, for, improvement.
TOYSREVIL: What should folks look out from you in 2013? And why?
RATKING: More tattoos! Sorry mom, sorry dad.. Ahem. Art-making wise, expect more sculptures to be done. I experimented with Super Sculpey for the first time out of boredom during the first day of my semester break and fell in love instantly, I'm planning on working on a whole series for my college final.
