#SEENatNYCC: Reveals + Debuts at "The Block" for #NYCC (Day Two)
This is a mixed-bag blog-post featuring a range of reveals to debuts of art toys at the current New York Comic Con, with images culled from varied instagrammage! Well, not necessarily "ALL" were seen at NYCC itself, such as the above reveal of the MICRO GREASEBAT from Unbox Industires 9how 'micro', i have zero idea as yet ;p…).
Jeremy Madl aka MAD has a couple of pieces popping out at NYCC, including his MICRO MADL 3D PRINTS bagged-n-tagged figures (pic via @suburbanvinyl), and as well a huge pink MODERN HERO BANK in the hands of Maz of @cluttermagazine.
Sidekick Labs debut a new product line, featuring figure pedestal stands for table or shelves (pic via @sidekicklab) which sees them moving pass their trading card publishing route thus far … do check in with them at booth #xxx for further product availability details.
A "super limited super rare" HIEROPHANY saw a release by Carlos Enriquez-Gonzalez of the Clutter Booth #504. For folks unfamiliar with CE-G's figures, YES, it is exactly what you thought it looks like!
Above is the NUCLEAR ORB BABY HUEY by SKINNER x Lamour Supreme, available at the Critical Hit booth #110 from Friday (10/11) @ 2:00pm. In an edition of 6 and priced at US$200 per. Just below that is the gnarly "Not Child Prostitute" by SKINNER, priced at US$100 per, and in an edition of 10.
Check out this "new" colorway of a MISHKA KEEP WATCH Bank from L'Amour Supreme x Blackbook Toy for NYCC! look silk a perfect pumpkin-orange for halloween, no? Further details when I have them :)
(So ok, "technically" this wasn't "seen" at NYCC itself, but on @lamoursupreme ;p)
The Toy Tokyo booth #101 saw a display of (top) 1/6 scaled custom figures - which I am "guessing" are from Justin Volpe @popprolific, (middle) the prototype of BRAINLINGTON by EwokOne x Mighty Jaxx on display (and pre-order as well), and finally the mystery of the "Not Authorized Banksy" toy is "revealed" to be "a vinyl version of Matt Leavitt's Banksy from his Art Army series" (Thanks for the headsup, Stephen Gates!)
