César Zanardi's CERRITO goes Sofubi for a March 1st release
PRODUCT PRESS: "We are happy to announce that after a long gestation process, countless subtle design modifications, some production tests, many cups of coffee and several liters of beer, the first edition sofuvi Cerrito is ready! The color versions “Jade” and “Terracotta” of this mystic-imbued figure will be released in early March for the Japanese market! "
Created by Buenos Aires-based artist César Zanardi, CERRITO makes the transition from resin to vinyl / sofubi (sized 10.5cm long x 9.5cm tall x 4cm wide) for a release scheduled March 1st at One-Up (Akihabara – Nakano), with both Jade and Terracotta editions priced at 3,000 JPY each.
"It's a three piece sofubi Head-Body-Tail. Designed in Buenos Aires and Made in Japan. This first edition is in Jade and Terracotta versions, the decision of these colors was because I thought it would be cool to make them look like a vintage Latin-American Talisman! The effect is made out from the combination of color vinyl and then rubbed some darker color over it." -shared César with TOYSREVIL.
