“Ape Hangers” by Noel Roh Debuts @ Taipei Toy Festival #TTF2016 #Towooz Booth A72
Noel Roh of South Korean collective “Towooz” debuts her new figures “APE HANGERS” at Taipei Toy Festival 2016 (Oct 7-10), in two sizes, each with their own tricycle!
The two smaller sized figures were first made for the Wizard of towoOz project in May. but for TTF, she had wants to upgrade them, with the new versions sized 5 and 5.5 inches tall!
Specially priced at NTD$4500 in TTF - which is around US$150, after which they will be sold at US$180 apiece. Only 8 pieces of each character were made, so this is extra incentive to score these figures NOW!
"After TTF, I will sell at my SNS direct message and Fifty Fifty store.” - added Noel.
I’d asked Noel why tricycles, and why the name “Ape Hangers”?
"I love bicycle. So I have made hip tricycle with characters who never envy bicyclist. “Ape hangers” mean motorcycle handles. I wanna to make as Harley davison style. (The) Black monkey's name is “Theodore” and Yellow monkey's name is “Owen”." - shared Noel Roh.Check out the box packaging for “Owen” featured below!
