The name ā€œKaratekrabā€ is derived from the ā€œKaratekaā€ name of the game, and ā€œkrabā€ being a Thai-slang somewhat equivalent to Singapore’s ā€œlahā€ irreverence, and used at end of greetings meant for males, like ā€œThank You, krab!ā€, with women using ā€œkaā€ instead (ie: ā€œThank You, ka!ā€).

I had personally thought it meant ā€œdudeā€ all this while hahaha (i.e.: ā€œThanks, dude!ā€) hahaha
