We’re used to seeing “fanart” for established pop culture, both real (which you can interpret as “cosplay”, IMHO) and faux-fictional characters - like comicbook or anime characters - but seeing fanart for original creations? Few and far in-between, but ALWAYS a pleasure and a welcomed kick!
