GR2@15YEARS - Celebrating 15 Years of Giant Robot @ GR2 (Aug 4-15, 2018)
PRESS: "GR2 is now 15 years old. The project started as a huge question mark. Could we survive by selling art? We weren't sure, but we did see talent all around us. Looking back from our humble start in 2003, it's easy to say that's this has been a great ride, but being able to serve artists and art fans is even greater. We hope to continue our ride and help build new art fans and artists around the world."
Launching August 4th @ GR2 (2062 Sawtelle Blvd LA CA 90025) is "GR2@15YEARS" - some artwork previews below. Exhibits thru August 15th, 2018.
Unlike the many artists featured here, I personally may not have been featured in the pages of the Giant Robot magazine (I've had my moments :p), but have had the opportunity to devour a few issues from back in the day (thanks Basheers & comicbook shops), and while it's unfortunate the print edition no longer exists, my fond memories (and back issues) remain cherished :) Happy Birthday, Giant Robot!
