become the first animal in space.
She was selected to be a occupant
of the Soviet space craft that
launched in to space.
We wanted to express regret for
allowing her to die. It was more
than we are all sorry about it. We
don't justfy the death of the dog. So
basically we've tried with efforts to
cherish the memory of Laika in
completely opposite way."
